The Monaco Economic Board officially becomes the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco

06/10/2026

On Monday, 5 October, members of the Monaco Economic Board gathered at the Yacht Club de Monaco for an Extraordinary General Meeting. They unanimously approved the renaming of their association, which will now be known as the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco. This change heralds new services and an expanded programme of events to benefit companies within the Principality. This was demonstrated by the 58th Members’ Meeting that followed, attended by more than 400 decision-makers.

The evening was divided into two parts. The formal proceedings initially took place in the Meeting Room of the Yacht Club de Monaco, where the executives of member companies were invited to approve this new identity by vote.

This change represents a natural evolution following the establishment by the Princely Government of the Invest Monaco Unit. This unit has taken over the responsibilities of attracting investors and coordinating international appeal, roles that were previously managed by the Monaco Economic Board. Operating internationally under the name Monaco Chamber of Commerce, the new designation solidifies a refocus on the organisation's primary mission.

As a preamble, Justin Highman, Deputy CEO, recalled the core missions of the Chamber of Commerce in Monaco.

  • To support and assist companies in their growth, competitiveness and internationalisation.
  • To connect economic players with one another and with the Chamber's networks.
  • To inform member companies of major economic trends.
  • To promote the Monegasque economic ecosystem.

With 70 actions undertaken in 2025 and over 1,500 qualified matchmaking connections, the organisation was already actively pursuing these objectives.

Addressing the entrepreneurs present, Guillaume Rose, CEO, affirmed this ambition: "The Chamber of Commerce aims to be more than ever your point of contact and your partner."

This roadmap will lead to increased initiatives on the ground. For example, the BtoB meeting sessions between members, which have previously been held annually, will become biannual. New services will also be gradually introduced, particularly in the area of economic monitoring. Following the presentation of the statutory amendments, all present and represented members established the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco.

Members were then invited five floors higher to the exquisite terrace of the Yacht Club's Observatory Deck. It provided an ideal setting for the 58th Members’ Meeting, where more than four hundred executives assembled—setting a record—to broaden their networks and explore the visual identity of the new entity.

A founding member in the establishment of the Chamber of Economic Development in 1999, its original name, Chairman Michel Dotta described the institution's evolution as "a quite logical progression (...) the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco now perfectly reflects what we are today."

Participants in the evening observed this when Guillaume Rose presented the calendar of events until the end of the year: conferences, a B2B session between members, welcoming delegations and economic missions to Montenegro and China; the programme is particularly extensive.

Another illustration of this reaffirmed vocation is the speech by David Sirour, President of the newly established Graines d'Entrepreneurs association. Founded ten years ago within the Junior Chamber of Monaco, this mentoring programme for pupils in the Principality is now gaining independence to reach its full potential. An initiative designed to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among young people, it aligns perfectly with the mission of the Monaco Chamber of Commerce.
